What is Kundalini?

The Union of Two Parts

Kundalini is the union of the divine masculine and divine feminine, also known as Shiva and Shakti. Shiva is the eternal consciousness: Awareness itself. Shakti is the divine vibrant flow: Life, movement, energy.

Each completes the other and needs the other to exist. Without awareness, there is no one to experience the energetic flow. Without the energetic flow, there is nothing for awareness to experience.

When these two parts come into union, Kundalini bliss can flow freely and light you up from the inside out.

Not Doing, but Being

Kundalini is about trusting and surrendering to what's already present inside you. It is about an attitude of allowing instead of getting.

The divine can't be grasped at or forced. The more you try to make it happen, the more it will evade you. The answer is to surrender, to be present and relaxed, and allow the experience to unfold from within.

When we peel away the layers of limiting beliefs and agenda, underneath our constrictions and patterns,  what's left is our essence: Life itself. Allow it to dance through you. After all, it's there inside you all along.

The pleasure that heals

The purification properties of kundalini  is known to many.  As you allow it to move through you, it will enliven every cell of your being, and retemplating of the central nervous system (Brain and associated patterns we hold) occurs naturally.

As the thinking mind retemplates, so does the tension of held patterns in the body. Kriyas, or shaking , may occur as the energy moves through tightness and blockages, some which have been there for countless years.

Kundalini awakenings lead to transformations of the body, mind, and soul. Even transmissions of Kundalini energy work to heal and align, and more transmissions leads to deeper and longer lasting healing.

The Spiritual Fire

"Within each of us there once was a fire. And for some of us it seems as though there’s only ashes now. But when we dig in the ashes we find one ember and very gently we fan that ember.

Blow on it, it gets brighter. And from that ember we rebuild the fire. The only thing that’s important is that ember. That tiny breath of the living spirit. That's what you and I are here to celebrate."

- Ram Dass
